I have a thick trim on both sides of the truck, I am assuming it is for a bumber so anything light wouldn't roll into it and scratch the paint.  However, at the edge of my door near the hinge side it is starting to peel off and when I open my door it catches and stops the door from opening all the way and also is peeling back more.  What do you do about that besides rip it all off the truck everywhere?  Is there some kind of glue or adhesive that you can apply or is it a technical thing that has to be brought in to get repaired?

Thanks for any advise,

Charles

You should post a picture.
If it is the same stuff that was on my F150.... this is what I did. It was a heavy glue that was on it and the glue over the years started to drip out/off and the strip came off the truck just like you are describing. I ended up pulling the whole thing off and then just buying a new one and put it on. I guess I could have messed around with trying to re glue it on my own but I didn't want to make anything worse.
