OK i have a 1998 Civic EX 4 Dr. with a 1.6L SOHC , I'm currently a student with a limited supply of funds. But i do wanna see if i could maybe get some recommendations for upgrades or parts? Hopefully something that wont break the bank ya know ha ha  Roll Eyes

I also wanna know if the 1.6L SOHC in it is even worth building up?
Or should i just save for some kind of swap?

Oh yeah BTW I'm new to the site =P , my cousin ( Donnie Ehrlich...in-case any of you guys know him =/ ) told me he knew of a great shop intown for Honda's SO i thought I'd hit up the site and see if i can get some info on some not so expensive mods =p

thanks

Garrett

LOL Never heard anyone call him Donnie!
That is too funny!

Scott is the man to talk to when it comes to your Honda.
Budget will dictate alot of things, but there are things that can be done still...

Again that is all in your budget. If you have a limited supply of funds and its your only means of transportation.  Maybe consider stickin to the outside then in. If your dead set on upgrading performance then bolt-ons are cheap. Everyone on here is pretty knowledgeable when it comes to hondas/acuras, and i will also put in you should go to scott, he will help you with deciding on a good plan.

Personally I would save up and get some sort of DOHC VTEC swap.....
Even a B16 is better then the SOHC....

The parts availible and the Tuning potential is alot great for the B Series....If you can stand waiting and saving a lil longer.....Hold out for the GSR.

I have known Don since around 99. He used to roll out with Troy and a few other people I went to High School with... Met Janelle (probably not spelled right) shortly there after...
