I am having someone chip my ecu that has done quite a few of them. I was thinking of having the manifold ported, any leads? Does Collective do porting or have someone in mind??

if you are going to buy an actuall turbo manifold. i woudent worry about porting it. you probly want the metal as thick as you can get it so it doesent crack so easy. but i would clean up any bad welds and things that might cause bad flow.

Latest update on the turbo project....
I meant to get the car to Collective on Friday per my other post about the freakin idle surge but after ish hit the fan at work I couldnt get out till 6pm.... ugh. So I parked her for the weekend and headed up to Phoenix. I was in the neighborhood so Bob (the guy helping me with all this since day one) and I decided to check out Lo Cash Racing to talk to Joe about the dyno facility. Joe had just pulled up when we did so it was nice and convinient. He was very nice and let us check out the place. After we were done drooling over the Integra with the turbo you could fit a small child into, we went over what we were trying to do and asked if he had any tips/advice. He told me that I would need a new MAP sensor if I wanted to run anything over 10psi.... another item to add to the list. I told him the goal would be 240hp and he seemed to think that my setup should be good for that. I have been doing some more research and it seems that on this setup 15psi will make 240-250whp. Although I am sure this is extremely doable, I think that it would only be a matter of time before things start to break. We decided we will go 10 psi and call it good. I feel that 10psi should give a nice pull while somewhat maintaining reliability. It would be nice to smoke some higher dollar cars but that can wait. Again as I said a million times, I am doing to this to become firmiliar with turbocharging. There is always time to build a monster setup. As far as the ECU, lo cash will be chipping it (since I have all the components). There is also a custom exhaust shop right next door that specializes in custom turbo setups so I will be contacting them about my downpipe and exhaust system. I am sticking with 2.5" as that should be good up to 15psi so when I decide to actually build the bottom end, I can keep the exhaust and everything stays quiet. Next we headed down the road and checked out HASPORT and Full Race (my next manifold). THEY ARE ALL ON THE SAME STREET! Yeah it was cool. Next we headed to SCO and I picked up a Greddy Type RS BOV and flange (got a killer deal on it). So other than the ECU, I am all but done. I checked out the site that FiveSFE linked on another thread and picked up one of those boost controllers, thanks. I think that about does it. All the parts are ready. I will be doing the install in Bob's garage in Glendale then taking it to the exhaust shop, then to the dyno. Its going to be a long ass drive to run with no exhaust haha.

Absolutely! I want to put this out there just so people dont think I am trying to deter people from getting an H22. I am in no way trying to take away from the H22 swap that Collective does so well but my aim is offer ideas on less expensive methods of making a CB7 fast. I did not discover this method, I am only trying it out. More usually than not, it is done on the stock F22, I wanted to do it with the H23. This is completely Do it yourself. I know of many people around the country running this setup and getting very good responses. I have heard of one guy down here that has run this setup but have no idea who he is (I would like to find him for advice). Dont get me wrong, I love the H22 and everything it is capable of, I just don't see a lot of turbo CB7s out here and Ive wanted a turbo car more than anything since I heard this one turbo teg blow by (ions ago before I knew what the hell a turbo was). I will be more than happy show people my set up so you can "copy" it as I did LOL!

Remember, check out honda-tech under the prelude section. I believe his SN is presicionh23a, or something like that. Name is anthony, he has a company named presicion a/v. He's the one with the monster h23 turbo prelude, so maybe you can find some info on hsi turbo builds on there. Can't wait to see it done, LMK when its all together so i can check it out!!
